Seasonality, School Calendar, and School Enrollment: Quasi-experimental Evidence from Rural Colombia - 2025

Overlapping harvest and school calendars increases dropout in rural Colombia. An unexpected change in school schedules intensified this overlap and further raised dropout. Our results suggest that aligning school and harvesting calendars could help reduce dropout in rural areas.
